Gable Steveson continued his build towards a UFC debut with a dominant 10-0 technical fall victory over UFC and PFL veteran Alexandr Romanov in his RAF debut, with his Octagon appearance at UFC 329 on July 11 now firmly in sight.
Steveson’s athleticism was on show from the opening exchanges, with a takedown and turn putting him up 4-0 in the first period before the action was briefly halted when Romanov appeared to suffer an arm injury. Romanov continued, but Steveson led 5-0 at the end of the period and showed no sign of letting up. A step-out point and another takedown extended the advantage in the second before Steveson rolled and executed a gutwrench to complete the technical fall.
