Jermall Charlo Reveals Timeline For His Return to The Ring
Former middleweight world champion Jermall Charlo (34-0, 23 KOs) confirmed this week that he intends to return to the ring in December after an injury forced him to withdraw from his scheduled October 17 fight.
Charlo had been due to face Koen Mazoudier on the undercard of Sebastian Fundora’s WBC super welterweight title defense against Ermal Hadribeaj on Saturday.
However, an injury sustained during training camp forced Charlo to withdraw from the event, with former titleholder Jose Resendiz subsequently named as his replacement.
Charlo has since said he is recovering from the injury and plans to fight again before the end of 2026. The nature of the injury has not been disclosed, while an opponent, venue and exact date for his proposed December return have yet to be announced.
The former two-division world champion will be hoping to resume his career following another interruption to his schedule, although his December appearance remains dependent on his recovery.
