EA Sports’s ‘Fight Night’ Is Back
EA Sports has announced the return of ‘Fight Night’, its once popular boxing video game that has not had an installment in 15 years.
“To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back,” EA Sports posted.
The announcement marks the first official confirmation of a new installment since ‘Fight Night Champion’ was released in 2011. The series produced five games between 2004 and 2011, earning widespread acclaim for its boxing mechanics and roster of professional fighters.
Following ‘Fight Night Champion’, EA Sports shifted its attention towards the UFC, releasing five EA Sports ‘UFC’ titles between 2014 and 2026.
The announcement comes as EA undergoes a change in ownership involving Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which has also provided financial backing to the Dana White led Zuffa boxing promotion.
EA Sports released a teaser poster, but did not disclose a release date, platforms, featured fighters or gameplay details for the revival of ‘Fight Night’.
