Unbeaten Welterweight Steps Into UFC Vegas 123 Co-Main On 12 Days Notice

Welterweight prospect Jacobe Smith (13-0) has agreed to face Randy Brown (20-8) on 12 days’ notice in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 123 on Saturday, October 31.

The fight will take place at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, with Smith replacing Carlos Leal, who withdrew from the scheduled bout because of an injury.

Smith, 30, will make his second Octagon appearance in just four weeks, having knocked out Bruce Whitehead in the opening round at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on October 3.

The American has finished all four of his UFC opponents since joining the promotion in 2025, recording knockout victories over Preston Parsons, Josiah Harrell and Whitehead, alongside a submission win against Niko Price.

Brown, meanwhile, enters the contest on a two-fight losing streak after suffering defeats against Gabriel Bonfim and Kevin Holland. The 36-year-old last won in April 2025, when he knocked out Nicolas Dalby in the second round.

Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan headline UFC Vegas 123.
