Jon Jones Says He Has A ‘Date’ For His Return

Jon Jones says there is a verbal agreement for his return.

The UFC Heavyweight Champion pulled out his UFC 295 title defense against Stipe Miocic last November. Bones injured his pectoral muscle in sparring and later underwent surgery. His return was delayed when Jones announced further surgery on his elbow. Tom Aspinall wanted Jones stripped so he could fight Miocic for the title. Dana White dismissed the idea, leaving fans waiting for Jones’ return. It is a step closer with Jones announcing he will return soon.

Jones will face someone regarded as the best heavyweight the UFC has ever seen. Bones must focus on the fight, as he has been dealing with issues outside the Octagon. Jones was accused of threatening to kill a drug testing officer who had visited his house. There were reports Jones was drunk. Jones denied those claims, saying he was not arrested, as he showed security footage of him showing them to their car on good terms. Miocic will be in for a tough fight if Jones keeps his focus.
