Masvidal Confident About Beating Jake Paul In Boxing

Jorge Masvidal is optimistic that he can beat Jake Paul in a boxing match.

Masvidal retired from MMA following his last fight against Gilbert Burns. Masvidal suffered a loss via a unanimous decision. That was the fighter’s fourth loss in a row, as he called it quits thereafter. Although that may have been the case, Masvidal was open to the idea of returning. Following Justin Gaethje’s second-round stoppage of Dustin Poirier, Masvidal suggested that he did not rule out returning to fight the champion for the BMF title.

But another person standing in his way could be Jake Paul. The latter has forged a boxing career for himself by mostly facing MMA fighters. Paul has maintained a 100 percent win rate against them, the most recent of which was his win over Nate Diaz. And yet, Masvidal backed himself to beat Paul if they ever squared off in a boxing ring.

“You’ve got to be mean, you’ve got to come to fight and you’ve got to be beating people up. I feel like in that last fight I didn’t see either of those things, skill or will so if you’re talking about me fighting them dudes? Line them up on the same day, give me Nate then give me Jake and maybe it might be competitive,” Masvidal said

Nevertheless, there is no indication that Masvidal will face Paul. However, if there is enough of a public demand for it, then Paul has shown that he can put on mega crossover events. And there is no getting away from that.
