McGregor To Announce His Next Fight On New Year’s Day

Conor McGregor will announce his next fight on New Year’s Day.

The Notorious has been away from the octagon since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The loss was followed by a broken leg and a delay in entering the USADA testing pool. McGregor enrolled in USADA only to find further delays in his return. He was required to provide two negative samples over a six-month period before fighting. This ruled out a return in 2023.

Dana White dismissed a return for UFC 300 with a summer date looking likely against Michael Chandler. Much recently, McGregor was on hand to watch the ‘Day of Reckoning’ boxing card in Saudi Arabia, where he expressed his dissatisfaction at his inactivity. Dana White responded by stating his future would be figured out soon.

“Give me something. I’m supposed to be back in April. It was supposed to be December. For all the figures I’ve brought in this game, I sell more than all of them combined. No one in the history of the fight game has been treated the way I’ve been getting treated at this minute. From what I came through, to what I bring. They f****** should open the floodgates for me. I’m waiting. And my patience is wearing thin on me waiting,” McGregor

Now McGregor has teased the news of an announcement.
