Miller In-Talks With Top Rank

After his world fell apart this past Spring, Jarrell Miller is looking to pick up the pieces and restart his career.

The Brooklyn-born heavyweight contender was weeks away from fighting the then unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua inside Madison Square Garden, when it was revealed that Miller had been caught taking a variety of performance-enhancing drugs, which saw him yanked from the world title fight and replaced by now champion Andy Ruiz Jr.

Miller has been suspended since May, but the suspension has been backdated to mid-April, the period where he was first found to have tested positive for a banned substance.

In the meantime, Miller has had his promotional relationship with Matchroom Boxing come to an end, but another major promotion company is looking to step in and help rehabilitate Miller’s image.

The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger reported on Tuesday that Miller and his promoter Dmitry Salita are in-talks with Top Rank (who co-promote Tyson Fury) to bring Miller on for a multi-fight deal.

A potential fight with Fury can reestablish Miller as a contender for the heavyweight title, and give him the platform of ESPN/ESPN+ which can be a huge move for Miller after losing a chance to fight on DAZN.
