Usman Nurmagomedov has revealed he rejected a $2 million offer from the PFL amid uncertainty over his future.
The unbeaten lightweight completed his contract after knocking out Archie Colgan in July but remains within the PFL’s exclusive 90-day negotiating period before he can consider offers from rival promotions.
“Negotiations with the PFL are still ongoing. Ninety days have to pass. After that, we’ll see,” Nurmagomedov said. “But I have turned down $2 million. When we made our request for a new contract, the numbers were different—higher than $2 million.”
The 28-year-old’s manager is handling discussions while Nurmagomedov waits to see what the promotion offers for his future.
Nurmagomedov remains one of MMA’s most sought-after fighters, boasting an unbeaten 22-0 record with one no-contest.
A potential move to the UFC has been widely discussed, although Nurmagomedov has yet to confirm where he intends to fight next and remains under the PFL’s exclusive negotiating window.
