Dan Hooker Reveals He’s Been Receiving “Outrageous” Death Threats

Dan Hooker (24-14) says he’s been receiving death threats since his fight with new UFC signee, France’s Salahdine Parnasse (23-2), was announced as the main event for UFC Paris on September 5.

Hooker called the threats “outrageous,” adding he’s fought plenty of popular opponents over his career, including another popular Frenchman in Benoit Saint Denis, but has never received threats like the ones he suspects are coming from Parnasse’s fanbase.

“It’s going to feel pretty sweet shutting this kid’s lights out and making these guys eat their words,” Hooker

Asked for his reaction to Hooker’s comments, Parnasse said he’s staying focused on the fight itself.

“No, me, I’m focused on Dan Hooker. I’m just going to win my fight, that’s all,” Parnasse

Parnasse added that he respects Hooker but can’t control his fans, saying they’ll do what they want on social media.

“Yes, I can. But after, they say what they want. Social media is like that. But the most important thing is to stay focused. I hope he will be focused,” Parnasse
