Dustin Poirier’s Mugshot Released Following Sunday’s Arrest

Dustin Poirier was arrested for public drunkenness in Clayton County, Georgia, this past Sunday evening, with his booking photograph being released to the public on Monday.

The 37-year-old finished his time with the UFC in 2025 following his 31st fight with the promotion, a unanimous decision loss to fellow legend Max Holloway. Since ending his career as a fighter and leaving behind the strict routine that goes along with it, Poirier has admitted on more than one occasion that things have been a bit bumpy as he makes an attempt at adjusting to a normal life.

“Retirement is scary, man. Days are long… I wouldn’t say depressed, but I kind of got into like a funk. Like what the hell am I going to do with my life?”

“Some days I wake up wishing I had a fight to look forward to. Every day I’m battling—battling myself—about wanting to fight. Just trying to figure out what fills that void, man.”

Few details surrounding Poirier’s arrest have been revealed, but it isn’t uncommon for fighters to need a bit of time to adjust to a more civilian life following a long career in the sport.

In a post to social media, Poirier even addressed the incident himself and let his followers know he has some work to do.

”Love you all. I’m working on myself”
