FBI director Kash Patel announced that UFC fighters will head to the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia this weekend (March 14 & 15) to train FBI agents.
Former rivals Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler, the first ever UFC BMF title holder Justin Gaethje, and former middleweight champion Chris Weidman will be among seven fighters involved along with UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard. Together they will provide insight on how they train for competition while demonstrating specific tactics they use.
Patel called the seminar a “tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth — helping the world’s premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people”, and added that “Dana White has changed the game in the mixed martial arts industry and we’re extremely honored to be partnered with him, the professionals and the UFC. We are grateful for their shared love of our nation, so that we can better defend her.”
