Four UFC Contracts Awarded at DWCS Finale

The final episode of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) for 2026 saw four fighters earn UFC contracts, with Smilla Sundell (3-0), Luis Francischinelli(7-1), Douglas da Lapa (7-0) and Greg Foster (9-1) all securing deals.

In the featherweight main event, Erick Visconde defeated Ilias Bulaid by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). Visconde revealed afterward that he broke his hand in the second round, limiting his performance. Despite the win, UFC CEO Dana White decided not to to offer him a contract, saying he wanted to see more.

Sundell, 21, faced Aline Pereira, the younger sister of two-time UFC champion Alex Pereira, in a women’s bantamweight bout. Sundell secured a unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28), but White initially decided against signing her. UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard subsequently overruled that decision and awarded Sundell a contract.

Welterweight Luis Francischinelli impressed with a first-round TKO victory over Will Rentz. Standing 6-foot-6, Francischinelli improved his professional record to 7-0, with all seven victories coming by TKO.

Middleweight Douglas da Lapa also maintained his unbeaten record, stopping Davi Cabral with punches in the third round. The victory moved him to 7-0, with six wins coming by TKO.

Greg Foster completed the list of new UFC signings after defeating Jason Asher by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) in their lightweight opener.

The four contracts brought Season 10 of DWCS to a close, with Visconde the only winner on the five-fight card to leave without a UFC deal.
