After posting an $8500 bond for his release from custody following last week’s arrest, another warrant has been issued for Gervonta Davis, this time because of a probation violation.
Davis was picked up just last week in Florida for battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping after a two-week search conducted by the Miami Gardens Police and the United States Marshals Service. The charges stem from an incident inside a club involving a former romantic partner of Tank, who claims the professional boxer assaulted her.

But Tank’s most recent arrest warrant is from a completely separate incident. In 2020, the former WBA lightweight champion was involved in a hit-and-run in which 4 people were injured. Initially he was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest and 200 hours of community service, but wound up serving 44 days in jail because of a violation of terms.
Because of another violation of his probation that was initiated through the hit-and-run charges, a Baltimore judge has now issued a warrant for Davis’ arrest.
In light of his legal issues, Davis was recently downgraded by the WBA to “Champion in recess” and was ultimately stripped of his belt. Additionally, the legal troubles flared up during the promotion process for his massive fight with Jake Paul which was on track to be one of Davis’ biggest pay days yet, but as a result of the allegations the fight was cancelled.
